BackgroundEdit

In the 1980s, especially between 1983 and 1990, Silverio land was one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. Accompanying the massive growth was the construction of many new buildings, districts, and highways. However, some of these new projects had their construction rushed, most notoriously the Cellis Towers in Downtown Silverio land. The towers were reportedly designed, built, and opened in just eight months. The building was never earthquake tested, and as a result, was opened without earthquake engineering in mind. As a result, many new buildings built between 1985 and 1990 were never earthquake tested.

EventsEdit

The earthquake took place on a then-undiscovered fault line located between Silverio land and Prontera. It was located 78 miles north of the Shongosa Fault that separated the Silverio Capital Region from Soldina. The exact site of the epicenter is at 51'70'79 N, 177'13'39 W, placing it just east of Prontera.
